My love for the arts grew out of many visits to New York museums, galleries, theater and the ballet as a child. I moved west to attend California College of the Arts, formerly CCAC, where I received both my BFA and MFA. Being constantly drawn to the mountains, I moved to Lake Tahoe, CA. where I can immerse myself daily in the rugged beauty of the mountains. There is nothing I love more than to hike, backpack, and take mule pack trips into the remote backcountry to paint.
Always a student, I have been fortunate enough to study with tremendous painters like Kevin Macpherson, Jill Carver, Randall Sexton, Jean LeGassick, and Karl Dempwolf, among others. My work has been included in numerous exhibitions including the Oil Painters of America National, Western Regional and Salon shows. My work was also recently featured in Plein Air Magazine’s “Painting Directly from Nature” article. I am a member of Oil Painters of America, California Art Club, and American Impressionist Society.
