Growing up in NY State’s Hudson Valley region, with access to world class museums and galleries, Christine Debrosky always knew she would be involved in the arts.
She had worked in oil from a young age, then in watercolor when she started exhibiting her work. It was when she took a pastel workshop, and worked almost exclusively in this medium, that her work gained exposure, and earned many honors and awards. Since then, she has earned signature membership in the Pastel Society of America, the American Impressionist Society, and master status with the International Assn. of Pastel Societies. In 2014, she was one of ten American artists invited to exhibit with Societe des Pastellistes de France, an organization which boasted Edgar Degas as an original member.
Today her home is in north Arizona with , where the abundant sunlight, jewel toned shadows and nuanced greys of the high desert inspire continued learning and sharing.
