Transitioning from distinctively realistic drawings to non-objective mixed-medium works took Rosen to galleries in NYC and Phila. at a young age. After a hiatus to raise a large family and teach, she returned to art, melding her love of nature and her interest in painting images that stretched beyond traditional boundaries. Rosen found her unique visual voice with a palette knife while working amidst the sights and sounds of the outdoors.
Rosen gives workshops and participates in select plein air events each year. In 2018, her work was featured in both “Plein Air Magazine” and “Southwest Art”.
