Daud Akhriev
Daud Akhriev was born in the former Soviet Union in 1959. He studied academic art for 14 years, graduating with a master’s degree with honors from the Imperial Academy of Fine Art (The Repin Institute).
After graduation in 1991, Akhriev left for the United States with artist Melissa Hefferlin, who was also studying at the Academy. Thirty-three years later, they share time between Spain and the USA. His son, Timur Akhriev, is also a professional artist.
Akhriev’s work is featured in national and international art periodicals, and his work is collected by museums, churches, universities and private citizens internationally.
