Kathy Anderson
Kathy Anderson lives her artistic life always remembering the best lesson she has learned through her long relationship with Richard Schmid, her mentor and friend – paint from life and let painting be a joyous adventure! A popular teacher who teaches workshops nationally and internationally, she has received many awards, most recently 2nd place in the “Virtuosos of the OPA” show. She is a Master Signature Member of OPA, a signature member of Allied Artists, a member of Connecticut Watercolor Society, Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters, and is an Artist Member of the Salmagundi Club and the National Arts Club. Kathy has the honor of being in the permanent collection of the National Arts Club and has had two solo exhibitions there. She has been featured in many top art publications such as Fine Art Connoisseur, Plein Air Magazine, Southwest Art, International Artists magazine, and more.
She is represented by Legacy Gallery, Jackson WY and Scottsdale AZ, Susan Powell Fine Art, Madison CT, Trees Place, Cape Cod, Horton Hayes Gallery, Charleston SC, and West Wind Fine Art, Keane NH.
