Laura Lee was born in Texas and earned a BBA from Hardin-Simmons University. She has lived in Nevada, Oregon, New Orleans, and Nashville, and now calls Colorado home—where she’s living her dream. After a successful career in the non-profit sector, she made the leap several years ago to pursue her lifelong passion for creating art full-time. In a relatively short time, Laura Lee has garnered multiple awards and achieved Signature Membership with the Southwestern Watercolor Society. She draws daily inspiration from the beauty of her surroundings, which continue to fuel her creative journey. Working primarily in oil, watercolor, and pastel, Laura Lee paints both in her Colorado studio and en plein air across the U.S.—including Hawaii. She is an active member of several national art associations, has served on the Board of the Southwestern Watercolor Society, and has served as faculty at the Plein Air Convention. Laura Lee feels incredibly fortunate to find joy in capturing the wonder of the natural world through paint. She also shares that joy by teaching classes and workshops, inspiring others to explore their own creative paths.
