Lori Putnam, OPAM, is a widely celebrated oil painter known for her distinct and captivating style. Using a variety of thin and thick paint, Putnam paints only what she wants the viewer to see and nothing more. Whether painting landscapes, still life, or interiors, her actual subject matter is light, its intensity and color, and the shape relationships it creates. She has traveled to paint, research, lecture, and teach in over 30 countries. This exposure to other lives and geographic locations has been her greatest teacher. Working from sketches in her Tennessee studio, she paints larger-scale works.
