Melissa Hefferlin
Melissa Hefferlin (b. 1968 in Georgia) was the only American to study at Russia’s historic Academy of Art during the Soviet period. She also studied at Otis/Parsons Art Institute in Los Angeles and at the University of Tennessee. Hefferlin is represented by Cutter & Cutter Fine Art and Reinert Fine Art. A book about work is entitled “The Things We Take With Us,” 2021, and she appears with her husband and son in the recent book “Parallel Journeys,” with text by Ann Patchett. She is based in the USA and Spain.
