Ellen Howard
Ellen Howard is a California impressionist painter whose work has been featured in American Art Collector, Fine Art Connoisseur, and Plein Air Magazine, as well as in the book The Great American Paint Out published by ACC Art Books. She was chosen as an artist in the “5 to Watch” section of Fine Art Connoisseur’s August/September 2023 issue and was featured as the “Spotlight Artist” in the California Art Club’s July Newsletter. Her work has been shown in Salmagundi Exhibitions and the past six California Art Club Gold Medal exhibitions and she has won awards in Excellence of Traditional Fine Art Exhibition, California Art Club, Huse/Skelly Gallery, Frank Bette Paint Out, and Mendocino Open Paint Out.
Her paintings have been included in shows at the Peninsula Museum of Art, Burlingame, CA, the Triton Museum, Santa Clara, CA, Salmagundi Club, New York City, NY, and the Firehouse Gallery, CA, as well as numerous group and solo shows. Ellen teaches plein air workshops in Northern California and Europe and is an active member of the California Art Club, currently serving as a Vice President.
