Georgia Mansur

International Award-winning artist Georgia Mansur grew up in California and moved to Australia in 1984–now living at Palm Beach/Sydney, NSW. Georgia is well versed in all media and has a particular passion for painting en plein air.  The immediacy of painting from life whilst experiencing the sights, sounds and smells of the environment injects raw energy and emotion into Mansur’s work, making the viewer feel like they are ‘there’. Georgia’s work is a reflection of her emotional response to the world around her, painting subjects in an expressive manner.

A Watermedia specialist, Mansur loves the ease of traveling with paints that wash up in water, continuing to explore and express her fascination with nature. Having completed a Bachelor of Arts in Communication at California State University Sacramento, Georgia feels painting is an interesting way to communicate with others on many different levels. Georgia’s paintings are diverse in subject matter as well as technique, often displaying her adventurous nature.

Students have nicknamed Georgia ‘the Art Whisperer’ because she helps them express their creative passions and develops a deeper connection with themselves and nature. Mansur has released an instructional painting video filmed in Oxford UK by APV Films and a Vibrant Florals inWatercolour by Streamline USA and has her own signature Georgia Mansur Brushes by Rosemary&Co Brushes made by hand in the UK.
