Colorado artist Janet Anderson finds endless inspiration for her landscape paintings during time spent outdoors snow skiing, hiking and mountain biking. Janet creates her work both en plein air and in the studio based on field studies and reference photos. When painting on location her goal is to capture the essence of a scene at a particular moment in time, paying particular attention to color and light.
Janet participates in plein air and juried shows throughout the country, and exhibits her work in several galleries. In recent years she has also spent considerable time teaching painting classes and workshops.
