Russell Jewell
Russell Jewell is an internationally recognized plein air painter, published in the Splash-Series Best in Watercolor, Sketchbook Confidential II, Artist Magazine, and Plein Air Magazine. Jewell is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society of America and American Watercolor Society. Jewell’s educational recognitions include a Doctorate in Art Education (UGa.), a Fulbright Memorial Scholarship to Japan, and a US Patent for his Jewell-Box Viewfinder. Jewell has won, Best Watercolor in Plein Air Easton twice. In 2023 Jewell won Second Place Quick Draw in Gloucester Plein Air and First Place in Mountain Maryland Plein Quick Draw.
